Sorry for the lack of CONSTANT UPDATES. I know everyone is desperately wanting to know the very details of my life, but unfortunately internet has been a bit lacking recently. The long and short of it is that Claire and I are all moved in, we are figuring out the public transit system, and we are trying to apply for jobs. It's all very mundane and boring, except for the part where it is winter in July and people pronounce "z" as "zed." (That delights me so much. I know Canadians etc do it too, but do Canadians have "enn zed" in all of their urls? I thought not!)
We did do dinner with Derek and Lauren on Monday night at Fidel's Cafe on Cuba Street (ahaha, I just got that) and we spent close to three hours talking about who knows what. Derek the expat gave us his thoughts on New Zealand as a whole, and Lauren the Kiwi banned him from calling things "cute."
Anyhow, I'm approaching the end of my internet cafe time - sorry kids, job stuff trumps trivial blogging! - and so this will have to come to an end.
PS. I swear I'll get around to posting pictures eventually!
